Deep tissue massage therapy applies deep, firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscles and fascia. This massage is especially helpful for addressing chronic aches and pains because it effectively breaks up scar tissue and reduces muscle tension. Research studies have found that deep tissue massage reduces chronic pain. Sports injuries, fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, high blood pressure, sciatica and tennis elbow can all be alleviated with deep tissue massage.

Sports Massage.

This massage technique helps active people and athletes prevent and address injuries common in various sports and physical activities. Sports massage can help athletes before a competition by increasing flexibility, range of motion and strength while decreasing blood pressure. It is also beneficial post competition as sports massage promotes recovery by helping rid the body of blood lactate and speeding up injury recovery time.

Swedish Massage.

Swedish massage focuses on the topmost layers of muscles. It uses soft, long, kneading strokes, rhythmic tapping and passive joint movement to relieve muscle tension, induce relaxation, simulate nerve endings and increase blood flow. This massage offers you deep relaxation and improves sleep.

Shiatsu Massage.

Shiatsu massage uses fingers, elbows, palms or feet to apply acupressure points in a continuous pattern. Originating in Japan, this therapy integrates traditional manual therapies and modern medical knowledge. Shiatsu has both preventative and remedial effects and can be used in the treatment of internal, musculoskeletal, and emotional conditions. It can reduce muscle stiffness, stimulate the skin, aid digestion, and influence the nervous system. Chronic conditions such as headaches, PMS, digestive disorders, fatigue, insomnia, fibromyalgia, stress, anxiety, and musculoskeletal pain, including low back, neck, and joint pain can be improved with Shiatsu massage.

Hot Stone Massage.

Hot basalt stones are used throughout the body to help relieve muscle pain and tension, reduce stress and anxiety, promote sleep, boost immunity and decrease chronic pain. During your session, heated stones may be placed on various parts of your body, such as your spine, face, chest, palms, stomach and feet. Lidia may also use Swedish massage techniques as she holds the heated stones.

Aromatherapy.

During your session, Lidia can employ the medicinal use of organic essential oils to improve your mental, physical and emotional wellbeing while also enhancing your service and relaxation.
